The Master of Headache Disorders is a professional master’s programme for health-care professionals. This master’s programme is worth 60 ECTS credits and consists of 4 blended learning courses, a clinical course and a master’s project.
Programme study plan
2 years of part-time study
The programme requires a minimum of 6 individual visits to Copenhagen, Denmark, over two years:
- Courses 1 to 4 comprise an e-learning self-study period followed by one week of face-to-face sessions at the University of Copenhagen.
- Course 5 is a three-week clinical course at the Danish Headache Center.
- The master’s project is a written project. The final assessment for the project is an oral examination in Denmark. All coursework must be completed before you can start the master’s project.
This is a part-time study programme, which can be combined with a full-time job.
Frequency of courses
The courses are offered only every second year. You are advised to follow the courses as listed, as this will ensure your natural progression through the programme.
Short intensive courses
The programme is designed to fit the busy schedule of health-care professionals, and hence, the courses are short and intensive. They are held at the University of Copenhagen or at the Danish Headache Center, both in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Each ECTS credit is equivalent to 27.5 hours of study. The total workload for this master’s programme is estimated to be 1650 hours in total, which is equivalent to one year of full-time study at a university.
