Cristina Tassorelli

Christina Tassorelli, MD, PhD, fully trained neurologist, is Associate Professor of Neurology at the Dept. of Brain and Behavioral Sciences of the University of Pavia and a Consultant Neurologist at the C. Mondino National Neurological Institute of Pavia (Italy), where  she directs the Headache Science Centre. She is also  a senior consultant at the Neurorehabilitation and Parkinson’s Disease Units of the C. Mondino National Neurological Institute. Cristina Tassorelli completed an internship and a neurology residency at the C. Mondino National Neurological Institute, and obtained a PhD Degree in Human Psychobiology at the University of Modena (Italy). She spent a 2-year Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Dept. of Neuroscience of the University of Rochester (NY),and, before returning to the C. Mondino National Neurological Institute, she worked as a consultant neurorehabilitator at the Maugeri Neurorehabilitation Research Institute (Italy). She has served as director in the Board of the International Headache Society (IHS), she is the Chair of the IHS Subcommittee for the Guidelines of Clinical Trials Clinical and she was one of the founding members of the European Headache Alliance, where she has  served as Vice-President. She is presently a member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Society of Neurorehabilitation. Dr. Tassorelli has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and co-authored 6 books.
